Passenger by Alexandra Bracken
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Rating: 4.8 stars, rounded to 5 stars
So, first off: I tried to read this for Booksplosion 2016, but I didn't actually get it until the 31st so I knew I wouldn't finish in time. So I saved it for vacation instead.
I finished this book last night on a plane to Orlando Florida, and I was amazed. This book was incredible, and I absolutely loved the poetic writing style. I had heard that it was very different from The Darkest Minds in the narration style, but I was blown away by Etta and her perspective on everything that had happened. I’ve heard many reviews saying that the writing style and narration of this story was very different, I didn’t grasp exactly how different it would be. I’ve had Passenger on my TBR list for ages now because I missed Alexandra Bracken’s writing- I loved reading The Darkest Minds- but now I know I should have wanted it for so long because of the story it told on its own. This isn’t one of those books by an author who has already sold a bestselling series that depends on support from older fans. Etta shoved Liam and Ruby aside to say, ‘Okay, it’s my turn to tell the story now, thanks.’
Random fact: I actually have an autographed copy of ‘In the Afterlight’ that came with a Passenger bookmark with the review by Sarah J. Maas on it, and I was so excited when I finally got Passenger to be able to read it with that bookmark. That was another reason I really wanted to read this book: Sarah Maas is literally my favourite author of all time, so I knew if she rated this book as amazing and everything, then it was going to be good.

So, this has been my Passenger review: I hope you liked it! Happy Reading to you all!
